Sorry, Apple, a mouse still beats a trackpad for some things.
With Lion, I decided to embrace the Apple Magic Trackpad for my iMac. I really love it for some things (scrolling and swiping are lovely), but, when I have to do a whole bunch of online forms with drop down menus (don’t ask!), the trackpad feels like a forced clunker of a device.
I’m not faulting Apple here, though – they’re firmly in the 21st century and, unfortunately, the people who designed the clunky interface I’m dealing with are not.
